Best Time to Trek Poon Hill

Every trek in Nepal is doable throughout the year, but the ideal time to trek depends on the region you want to visit and your preferred environment. Our trek will take us to amazing trekking destination in Himalayan region. Ghorepani Poon Hill, which is located in a high hilly region of Nepal, below the mountain range. The temperature in this region typically ranges from 5 to 25 degrees Celsius, making it a great place to trek in any season. This temperature is suitable for people of all ages, making it one of the most advantageous regions to trek in.

Spring is the best time to trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill as the trek takes us through a jungle and during this season, different kinds of flowers bloom. Nepal’s national flower, the rhododendron, blooms during this time, and the forest of rhododendron becomes reddish, creating a stunning visual spectacle. The Himalayas above the red forest in springtime are a sight to behold. The weather is clear, sunny, and the views of the snow-covered mountains are breath-taking. This season is between the end of winter and the beginning of summer, so there is very little chance of rain, making it the perfect time to trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill.

Autumn is another great time to visit Nepal for any tour or trek. This season follows the end of summer and precedes the winter, with little chance of rain, resulting in clear days that are ideal for trekking. Additionally, this season is full of festivals in Nepal, providing an excellent opportunity to immerse oneself in the local culture and traditions. The views of the snow-capped mountains and green forests are also particularly stunning during this time.

Winter is perfect for those who enjoy being close to nature in the cold. The temperature drops below freezing in the morning and evening, but the sight of the glowing mountains during sunrise is an unforgettable experience. The views of the reflecting mountains while sipping tea are truly heavenly. This season is relatively dry, and there is snowfall in higher mountain regions, making it an excellent time to trek in the higher Himalayas.

Summer is the least popular season for travelers due to the rainy season in Nepal, resulting in slippery trails. However, many travellers who love the natural greenery still enjoy trekking during this season. The slippery trails make the trek challenging, but with proper equipment like boots and trekking poles, the challenge can be overcome.

The Poon Hill and Ghandruk areas are busy all year round, so teahouses and lodges are typically crowded. However, don’t worry when you trek with Graceful Adventure Travel in Nepal as we will manage all your requirements. Simply contact us, and we are here to manage everything.
