Food and Accommodation
On the ABC trip, everyone’s top priorities are food and lodging. Since ABC is located in a rural section of the nation, there are no five-star hotels there, yet we can nevertheless offer first-rate hotels and lodges. The majority of the teahouses have twin-sharing arrangements, while single bedrooms can be arranged upon request.
Food is necessary during the hike. The primary source of energy for this expedition is food burning. In Nepalese, the phrase “Dal Bhat power, 24 hours” refers to the ability to endure for practically a day after consuming dal bhat. The national dish is dal bhat, however other dishes can be made, including vegetable and noodle soups.
We advise you to stay away from dairy items, hard drinks, and beverages with a lot of caffeine since they could be harmful to your physiology and health at higher altitudes.
Best Season/Best Time for Ghorepani & Annapurna Base Camp Trek
The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is one of Nepal’s most iconic trekking adventures, offering breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. This trek beautifully blends natural splendor with cultural experiences, making it a top choice for many trekkers. The optimal times to embark on the ABC Trek are during the Spring and Autumn seasons, as these periods provide the best weather conditions, clear skies, and stunning landscapes.
Spring Season:
Spring is widely regarded as one of the prime times for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. During this season, the trails are adorned with blooming rhododendrons and a variety of wildflowers, creating a vibrant and picturesque trekking environment. The weather is mild and stable, ensuring comfortable conditions for trekkers. Clear skies enhance the visibility of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, offering spectacular and unobstructed views. Additionally, the chances of rainfall are minimal, allowing for uninterrupted trekking and breathtaking panoramas of the mountains.
Autumn Season:
Autumn is another ideal time to undertake the ABC Trek, characterized by its stable weather and crystal-clear visibility. The temperatures are pleasant, making both daytime and nighttime trekking enjoyable. The snow-capped peaks and lush landscapes reach their peak beauty during this season, providing some of the most stunning views. Autumn is the most popular trekking season in Nepal, attracting adventurers from around the globe who seek reliable weather and magnificent scenery.
Summer Season:
The summer season, which coincides with the monsoon, offers a unique trekking experience with lush green surroundings and a misty atmosphere. However, the heavy rains can make the trails slippery and challenging to navigate. The mist may obscure mountain views, and trekkers may encounter leeches on the trails. Additionally, unpredictable weather can lead to flight delays and transportation issues, making summer a less favorable time for trekking.
Winter Season:
Winter provides a serene and less crowded trekking experience on the ABC trail. The snow-covered landscapes and clear skies offer spectacular and pristine views of the mountains. However, the colder temperatures and occasional heavy snowfall can make the trek more demanding. Proper preparation, including warm clothing and appropriate gear, is essential for those trekking in winter. While the trails are quieter and the scenery is immaculate, the cold weather and limited accessibility to some areas may deter certain trekkers.

ABC Trek Difficulty
ABC Trek difficulty is the world’s moderate trek. Despite not being very difficult, this journey requires the trekker to be in good physical and mental health. One shouldn’t have heart and lung conditions as well as knee or ankle issues.
This hike can be done in 5 to 6 hours of walking per day with adequate rest. A month or two before the journey date, you should start exercising and getting ready for this trip. These could include daily walking, going on hikes, taking a big walk once a week, practicing breathing techniques connected to yoga, etc.
Tipping During the Trekking
Tipping is a personal way for you to express appreciation for your services. You may want to leave a tip for the services you appreciate, or you may just want to express your gratitude in Nepali by saying “DHANYABAD.”
The final day of the vacation is typically when tips are given. Similar to this, trekkers are free to tip a hotel, lodge, or individual on whatever day they choose. Tipping is purely a matter of personal preference and perspective.
Altitude Sickness and Acclimatization
Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) symptoms can appear at elevations above 2000 meters above sea level because there is less oxygen in the air, which makes breathing difficult. The signs and symptoms of AMS include nausea, fatigue, headache, and dizziness.
Keep in mind that the ABC Trek will take you above 4000 meters, which reduces your risk of developing AMS. To help your body adjust to the thin air, walk gradually and gently. There is a danger that you could develop AMS if you try to move quickly and cover a large area at a high altitude. To prevent the situation from getting worse, vigilance should be exercised. Drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated, and eat a balanced diet of foods to help your body feel more energized.
Travel Insurance
A quality travel insurance policy that provides adequate coverage for all of your activities is crucial for ABC via Poonhill Trek. During the journey, anything may happen. Even though we are more concerned with safety, accidents and emergencies can sometimes happen where we are going.
Physical injuries, helicopter evacuation, medical costs, and any other situations you can face while trekking should all be covered by your travel insurance policy.
Drinking Water on ABC Trek
Trekkers must drink plenty of water to keep their bodies hydrated and avoid altitude sickness (AMS) (Acute Mountain Sickness). Three to four liters of water per day should be consumed while climbing up ABC.
Instead of purchasing bottled water, we strongly advise you to carry one reusable water container that can hold hot water. In addition to being pricey, bottled water might cause severe issues in the Annapurna region. Water purification tablets can be used to clean water. But after taking tablets, the flavor will change. Water should always be consumed after sufficient cleansing. Both the teahouse and the tent have access to boiled water.

The permits you need for ABC Trek are:
TIMS (Tourist Information Management System) card.
ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) Permit

I had an amazing experience with Graceful adventure team. We planned for the Nepal tour for 9 days covering Kathmandu, Chitwan, Pokhara and Lumbini. Padam bhai (owner) is a great guy and very helpful. He has a great understanding of entire Nepal and even helped me with which places to go. He was very kind as I didn’t carry any NPR but he made sure I do not struggle and overtook of all the currency issues. I upgraded my car car to Suv at the last min but Padam considered my request and arranged an suv overning. The driver Phanal bhai was very helpful. He knew all the shortcuts and dropped us everyime before the google map time. Thank you Graceful adventure (Padam and Khanal) for making our trip so memorable. I would love to travel with you guys for my next trip to Nepal for the base camp. I highly recommend Graceful Adventure if you are planning for Nepal trip especially with family. Cheerzz

Excellent and very attentive service, highly recommended!
Mr. Padam from Graceful Adventure Travel helped me and my friend A LOT! From the beginning when we are planning our Everest Base Camp trek until we safely got back to Kathmandu, he was always checking on us if everything was going well with us. He booked for us direct flight ticket Kathmandu - Lula, saving us from a long (up to 9 hours, one way) bus ride between Ramechchap - Lukla - Kathmandu. He sent us the ticket long before we made the payment and he never pressed us to pay the ticket. We originally bought the ticket for one day after the day that we wanted to take the return flight to Kathmandu and Mr. Padam talked with the Sita Airline many times so that we could advance our flight for one day without any trouble. We were so lucky to have him as our agency. He also helped us to arrange a local guide for the Everest Base Camp trek. Our guide, Mingma who works with Graceful Adventure Travel was very professional and kind. He was a great guide for us, always choosing the right lodge for good food and good accommodation. If we come back to Nepal and do another adventure, I will definitely contact this agency of Mr. Padam again! I am attaching some pictures from the EBC trek. If you are looking for a trustworthy travel agency, this is the one!
