Overview of Mera Peak Climbing

Mera peak is one of the most spectacular peaks in the Khumbu region which is also renowned for the highest trekking peak. It lies at an altitude of 6461 from sea level. This beautiful and panoramic peak lies in the eastern part of Khumbu region in the Hinku valley which is exactly at the south east of the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest.

Mera peak lies in the absolute wilderness and harsh nature of the environment. It is free from any natural habitat and shows the epic scenario of the absolute untouched gem of the nature. One can witness the very five world’s highest mountain above 8000 m from the summit of this peak.
This trail to the peak is all ice, snow, glacier and moraine. This zone lies above the tree line zone of the Nepal which is known for the alpine zone. This peak lies in the hidden touch of the modern segregated part of Hinku valley. Trekking from Lukla to this valley, people can witness the green lushly hills with panoramic mountain ranges while you walk through the dense pristine forest of pine, birch, rhododendron and magnolia.

Mera peak climbing requires a high level of physical fitness though it is one of the easiest trekking peaks. This peak can be ascended via ropes and ladders so the one must have a great determination to succeed the ascent. The peak at the segregated place makes this journey arduous so well managed logistics, communication medium , well experienced and trained staffs is a must while you attempt for your very best.

Route to the Mera Peak

There are various routes to the mera peak. The most preffered short and best route include via the Khare village.
Your summit to this peak starts from Kathmandu from where you will fly in to Lukla from there you will pass the villages such as Paiya; a village in solukhumbu to reach Hinku valley then you will move pass the Pangaun, Nagindingma, Kothe, Tangnag and finally to the Khare.
From khare you will move to base camp where you will move forward by camping,then to the high camp and finally to the summit.
Mera peak is the average 19 day peak climbing but the duration can be shortened by passing via Zatra la pass. This is however a risk taking scenario as one cannot endure the harsh natural phenomenon so easily at that highest altitude. The highly preferred route to the summit is via Khare village only.

Best climate for Mera peak climbing

The climate in Nepal can sometime become notorious. The best valued of time and season must be taken care while visiting the harsh and wildest nature of Nepal. There are mainly two season famous for operating expedition in Nepal.
SPRING SEASON
Spring is the best season for Mera peak climbing in Nepal. This includes the month from late February to May month. The climate will be most vivid at this time with the lushly view of the massive mountain terrain. The wind is not harsh and the trail will be less difficult than other season where it is mostly covered with snows. This season has the highest record of Mera peak in Nepal. The region will be more crowded with people thus the cost efficient travel is most.
AUTUMN SEASON
Autumn is another season for the best time to summit the peaks. This season include from the month of late September to early December. The nature is with lushly hills with the vivid sky. The weather will be with less heat haze which includes best spectacular views of the massive peak ranges around the world. this is the second most crowded season of the year. There will be less crowd as compared to the spring season.

Physical fitness required for Mera Peak climbing

Mera peak climbing needs strenuous level of physical fitness. This is a grade 5 level of peak climbing thus one must be supposed to be physically fit free from any disability. The climber is supposed to have a well knowledge to use the tools and equipment’s. The climbers must be in healthiest shape and must endure the harsh wilderness and nature so as to successfully complete this very peak climbing.

Food and Accommodation

Food and accommodation is all provided through the Mera peak climbing package. The stay in the Kathmandu will be of two days where you will stay at hotel based on your level of preference. From then after reaching the Khumbu region you will stay at the tea houses and lodges till to khare village. From there you will stay on the tent and camp so we will prepare our own food by guide or Sherpa till the final level of ascend and descend till to the khare village. The days on the camp will normally be 3 to 5 days decided on the basis of your level of fitness and health.
