Today’s journey takes you from Shigatse to the legendary Everest Base Camp, offering some of the most spectacular views in Tibet. The drive crosses Gyatso La Pass (5,248m), where you will get your first distant glimpse of Mount Everest. A stop at Rongbuk Monastery, the world’s highest monastery, provides breathtaking views of the towering peak.

After finishing the immigration formalities at the border, one crosses into Nepal to begin driving toward Kathmandu.
