These are some of the most vibrant spiritual centers for Hindus and Buddhists in the vast grain of Nepal.
At the end of the day, you will have a selection between Patan or Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which are both home to hundreds-of-years-old temples, royal courtyards, and hundreds-of-years-old artistic wonders themselves. All this adds up to just about 25–30 km total driving distance, yet it will be an entire day spent touring. Expect to be walking a lot as you tour narrow alleys and ancient courtyards. These will display traditional wood carvings and stone sculptures as well as life around the temples. For photography enthusiasts, there are endless inspirations. Most importantly, this day is about experiencing Nepal up close, from prayer rituals to architecture that has survived generations.

Breakfast is followed by a journey to Pokhara, either by a beautiful picturesque drive of about 6 to 8 hours or a domestic flight of about 25 minutes. The drive follows along winding highways along rivers like the Trishuli, passing small towns and crossing lush green hills. You will have short tea and lunch breaks, possibly in places like Mugling or Damauli. It is a long drive but shows a beautiful introductory view of Nepal”’s mid-hill landscapes. Instead, if you took the flight, you would reach Pokhara early enough to have extra time for yourself.
Around 800 meters high, Pokhara is also referred to as the gateway to the Annapurna region. It’s a very calm and beautiful town, well known for its calm lakes and extensive views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountains. On arrival, take a wonderful boat ride on Phewa Lake while also visiting the Tal Barahi temple built on the island in the lake or visit the lakeside where there are many cafés and souvenir shops to wander through. On a clear day, you might see the first glimpse of snow-capped peaks. It’s the natural setting combined with a leisurely environment, preparing you for days of trekking ahead.

At dawn, the day starts scenic with the drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, almost 1 and half to 2 hours covering about 42 km. The winding drive through green hills, farmland, and traditional villages is a great way to start the trek. After arriving in Nayapul (1,070 m), the real trekking starts on the actual travel- on foot. As you follow the Modi Khola river on a trail that runs beside it, the initial part is a flat walk through villages like Birethanti and Hille, after which the trail gradually climbs through dense forest and settlements.
The most tough part comes near to end because all of the more than 3,000 stony steps remain to be conquered to reach Ulleri (2,050 m), which is an extensive Magar village. Altogether this trek consists of nearly 5-6 hours walking. The trail is uphill and very hard but rewarding since it affords views of terraced fields and misty hills along its journey. Moreover, it will also take you to some collections of donkeys and locals who take supplies around. Then finally in Ulleri, a teahouse will await you, healthy and warm, to enjoy some local Nepali food and relax under a starry mountain sky. The high point of the day will bring fruitful tiring steps to reach your first mountain village.
Activity: Drive to Nayapul & Trek starts
Meal: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, the trek continues uphill from Ulleri to Ghorepani and takes about 4 to 5 hours based on your pace. The forests along the trail are filled with dense rhododendron and oak, which are especially beautiful in spring with blooming flowers. You will be hiking in tranquility, crossing small streams with the occasional sighting of some grazing animals. While some of these portions are quite steep, cool shade in the forest and chirping of birds make the journey quite soothing.
While climbing high, you can already start gazing at Annapurna South and its other siblings rising in the splendor ahead. The altitude of Ghorepani is around 2,850 meters and is one of the very hot favorite overnight stops in the trek. It being a bigger village with an array of teahouses and shops lying in the lap of the mountains and forests lends it its charm. Chill and lay back, sipping some tea, or explore a bit around in the afternoon. Feel the fresh air and soak in the surroundings. The main highlight today is reaching Ghorepani, which is an exquisite place to get prepared for an early start through the steps towards Poon Hill in the morning.
Activity: Trek to Ghorepani
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Teahouse / lodge
You will wake before or around 5 in the morning to start your fast and steep one-hour trek to Poon Hill (3,210 meters). This is one of the best places in Nepal for watching the sunrise, giving you a panoramic view of over 20 snow-covered peaks, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhare. When the sun rises, the peaks glow gold and pink, and this will remain in your memory forever. After admiring the view and taking photographs, you will return to Ghorepani for breakfast.
After breakfast in Ghorepani, the trek advances toward Dobato, about a 6-7 hour walk. The path goes up and down and weaves its way through fascinating forests with mosses, fluttering birds, and occasional views of the mountains. The trail is much quieter than the main trails, offering peace while trekking. Standing at an altitude of around 3,420 meters, Dobato offers a more remote kind of stay. The highlights of the day would include sunrises at the famed Poon Hill followed by the long, scenic trail that takes you through serene landscapes.
Activity: Trekking to Poon Hill & Dobato
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Teahouse / lodge
Today, it will be an early morning trek, about 45 minutes, to Muldai View Point (3,637 meters), a real treasure which is less crowded than Poon Hill, and provides marvelous 360-degree views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. More than just as spectacular, if not more. Seeing the early morning light over the mountains from Muldai is truly a quiet and uplifting experience. Soak in the views, and you’ll return to Dobato for breakfast.
The path then descends through more rhododendron forests and ridgelines toward Tadapani (2,630 meters), taking about 4 to 5 hours. There is plenty of chirping through the day’s walk and sometimes monkeys jumping across the trees. Tadapani is a small village that adjoins magnificent views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South; it is a great place to bide your time and think. The day is spent reaching the less-visited Muldai viewpoint and trekking through some of the most peaceful forest trails in the area.
Activity: Trek to Muldei & Trek down to Tadapani
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accomodation: Teahouse / lodge
It would be a day’s easy climb for Tadapani to Ghandruk, famous for one of the most beautiful Gurung villages in the whole Annapurna region. This trek goes through dense forests, small streams, and stone steps for about 3 to 4 hours. Approaching Ghandruk, you will get a glimpse of historical stone houses, flower gardens, and smiling locals in traditional dresses. It is a great place for people to take rest and think. But the biggest highlight for the day is that it takes you through the less-visited Muldai viewpoint and trekking through some of the most peaceful forest trails in the area.
After lunch and maybe some time wandering around or visiting the recently opened Gurung cultural museum, the journey back to Pokhara begins. This road trip is the better part of 2.5 to 3 hours by jeep. Homecoming to Pokhara feels sweetly rewarding, particularly as the trek ends, as the city offers all things good: comforts of hotel travel, leisurely walks along Lakeside, or spoiling oneself with a pleasant dinner. The highlight of the day is unwinding in Pokhara after indulging in the culture and beauty of Ghandruk.
Activity: Descend down to Ghandruk & Drive back to Pokhara
Meal: Breakfast
Accomodation: 4* hotel
After breakfast in Pokhara, you can fly back to Kathmandu for about twenty-five minutes or drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus or private vehicle, which takes between six to eight hours, depending on traffic. It will again follow the same beautiful course along rivers, bridges, and hills. It’s long, but a last chance for enjoying seeing the beauty of rural Nepal. You will stop along the way for lunch, tea breaks, and watch daily life from the window of small towns.
On arriving in Kathmandu, you can check back into the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day relaxing or shopping. Many adventurous souls buy handicraft, pashmina shawls, and trekking gear for souvenirs. Evening can tag along for a farewell dinner with your trekking team, reminiscing through clicks and memories of the journey. Today is the highlight because returning to the capital has a heart full of adventure and legs full of stories.

Every trek in Nepal is feasible throughout the year, but the optimal time to trek to Mulde View Point varies depending on the region you plan to visit and your preferred climate. This particular trek takes place in the high hilly region of Nepal, below the mountain range, where temperatures typically range from 5 to 25 degrees Celsius. This makes it an ideal location for trekking during any season, and the moderate temperature is suitable for people with average physical fitness, making it one of the most advantageous regions to trek in.
Spring is the best season to trek to Mulde View Point as the route takes you through a jungle where different kinds of flowers bloom. Nepal’s national flower, the rhododendron, blooms during this time, and the forest of rhododendron turns reddish, creating a stunning visual spectacle. The Himalayan mountains above the red forest in springtime are breathtakingly beautiful. The weather is typically clear and sunny, offering spectacular views of the snow-covered peaks. Since it falls between winter and summer, there is little chance of rain, making it the perfect time to trek to Mulde View Point.
Autumn is another ideal time to visit Nepal for any tour or trek. This season follows the end of summer and precedes winter, with little chance of rain resulting in clear days that are perfect for trekking. Additionally, autumn is full of festivals in Nepal, providing an excellent opportunity to immerse oneself in the local culture and traditions. The views of the reflecting mountains while sipping tea are truly heavenly. This season is relatively dry, and there is snowfall in the higher mountain regions, making it an excellent time to trek in the higher Himalayas.
Summer is the least popular season for travelers due to the rainy season in Nepal, resulting in slippery trails. However, many traveler’s who love the natural greenery still enjoy trekking during this season. The slippery trails make the trek more challenging, but with proper equipment such as boots and trekking poles, the challenge can be overcome.
Comfort in the Himalayas trekking is properly to be equipped with all requirements, which assure comfort, safety, and an enjoyable trip. This includes sturdy quality trekking boots, multi-layered appropriate clothes to wear, a waterproof and windproof jacket that protects from uncertain mountain weather, a good backpack to carry personal things, while a day pack would carry your water bottles, snacks, and any essentials easy to reach. Also, don’t forget trekking poles for stability on uneven terrain, a hat, gloves, sunglasses for sun protection, and a headlamp if it’s low light.
Other things one might want to pack include a sleeping bag, a refillable water bottle with water purification tablets, and personal toiletries. If you are going to be using luxury accommodations, most of them have basic amenities, but it is always prudent to pack in light toiletries and a power bank for charging your devices. Although the climate may cause occasional common colds, it is not a significant problem.
