The city has several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as Swayambhunath Stupa and Durbar Square, where tourists get to see old temples, shrines, and the vibrant culture of the valley. Exploring the narrow lanes of Thamel, one can find many local shops exhibiting handicrafts, while the air is filled with incense and the sounds of prayers. This unique culture of Kathmandu is a blend of spirituality, history, and culture, as a worthy beginning to the glories of Nepal.

Out of the main attractions, Kathmandu is also a sacred city. Pashupatinath Temple welcomes pilgrims from around the world, while Boudhanath witnesses an airs of calmness with its huge stupa. Pokhara- Visual Treat and Peaceful Lakes

Pokhara is the tranquil lakeside town that offers stunning views of the Annapurna mountain range. Out of relaxation in Pokhara, the calmness of Phewa Lake does provide ample opportunity to relish the picturesque scenery. The placidity of the lake, banked by the plying mountains, caters as the ideal place for recuperation after or before a trek. A boat ride or a visit to the peace pagoda for some good views will do the healing, a stark contrast to Kathmandu’s noise.

The activities here include paragliding, zip-lining, and hiking, making it an adventure hub. This is the place from where one embarks on the trek for Annapurna Base Camp adventure tourism. Whatever activities excite you-energy-charged adventures or peacefully relaxing-they meet perfectly in Pokhara.

Ghandruk- A Beautiful Gurung Village

Ghandruk is a beautiful Gurung village located in the beginning of the Annapurna trek. The village is stunningly visible from the Annapurna range and introduces visitors to the local culture and traditions. Ghandruk is marked by stone houses, terraced fields, and friendliness. As you stroll through the village, culturally rich traditions of the Gurung people-who have flourished in these hills for centuries-will unfold before you.

The beauty of Ghandruk is shared with the scenery. Traditional architecture and great community spirit provide an ambiance for immersion into the life of an authentic Himalayan village. It is a perfect resting spot to refuel energy for the next leg of the trek up higher.

Chomrong – Doorway at the Sanctuary of Annapurna.

This is next on the trek above Ghandruk himself. Besides all these, the spectacular sight is gained from the highest points which include Annapurna South and Machapuchare (Fishtail). The trail leading towards Chomrong is steep and tiring; however, it carries its rewards as one goes closer to the Annapurna Sanctuary. The tiny village is adorned with traditional stone houses and terraced fields, which are indeed the prominent characteristics of this region.

Chomrong holds the earth in order to make it a natural gateway in itself to the Annapurna Sanctuary. It enjoys most exciting views of the snow-covered peaks in complementing the activities and lifestyle of the locality. Along a trek to Chomrong adventure is in itself, but with such a scenic beauty setting and inviting atmosphere, it stands second to none.

Sensitive within the Annapurna Sanctuary’s own Peace: Bamboo

Bamboo is a small hamlet, deeply lurking in the Annaopurna Sanctuary amid majestic bamboo forests and hard terrain. The way from Chomrong to Bamboo is steep and offers the climbers an immersible experience into the heart of the sanctuary. The trip through these bamboo forests is increasingly thin air: moody as it goes up to dramatically rising peaks lined with alpine foliage. Bamboo creates a retreat with a quiet, restful atmosphere where trekkers can find peace before taking on higher altitudes.

The charm of Bamboo happens to be in the secluded location and the chance to be connected with nature. The village is small, but its position deep within the Annapurna Sanctuary offers it as an intimate stop along your journey. Relax and enjoy the stunning forests and mountain landscapes in preparation for that final climb north to Annapurna Base Camp.

Deurali – Gateway to the High Himalayas

Deurali is located at almost 3,200 m; it truly is among the highest points before arriving to the Annapurna Base Camp. The trail between Bamboo and Deurali is a tough climb and produces great views of the surrounding mountains. At higher altitudes, the rocky scenery and thinned air tend to become more dramatic. Located deep inside the Annapurna Sanctuary, Deurali serves as a vital resting and acclimatization point before the end goal.

Not without reason: the location of Deurali offers one of the best vantage points for some of the highest peaks of the Annapurna range. Although this is where you will feel a difference due to altitude, the experience totally compensates for it with incredible views of the Himalayas. An added sense of achievement with the bonuses of beauty will ensure making Deurali memorable during the trek.

The Best Season of Luxury Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return

Spring and autumn are the best times for the Luxury Annapurna Base Camp Trek with a helicopter return, as these seasons guarantee the optimum weather condition, clearer skies, and great visibility of the Himalayan range behind. This is when the trekking condition generally reaches its peak, and helicopter flights are smooth and very picturesque. It is a year-round trekking option, however, which means seasons offer more charm, beauty, and challenges.

Spring (March-May)

Spring is one of the best seasons for the trek. The entire hill sides came alive with blooming rhododendrons, lending brilliant colors to the otherwise muted landscape. Moreover, views of the Annapurna, Machapuchare, and other such peaks are so certain during this season. Daytime temperatures are warm, and nighttime temperatures cooler, which is just pleasant for trekking; the charm and smoothness of the helicopter ride are simply awe-inspiring as it passes through breathtaking aerial views of the mountains.

Summer/Monsoon (June-August)

The trails become torrentially soaked by rains. In particular, below the timberline, the mud becomes treacherous on steep sections. Often, the skies remain murky, denying you glimpses of the majestic snow peaks, and landslides may totally block the routes. Yet the bright green of the rainy season is a treat for this very small number of trekkers. Helicopter flights, though, could be delayed or canceled because of weather conditions in the rainy part of this season.

Autumn (September-November)

Autumn is the best time to go for trekking, where you immerse all of your senses in the colors of the trip; fresh clear blue skies and the sharp views of the mountain. The trekking trails are perfectly dry and perfect for trekking while the forests appear to be aerosol gold, creating pleasing scenic views coveted all over. In addition to that, the cultural aspect is reinforced with numerous festive days, such as Krishna Janmastami, Dashain, Tihar, etc. The helicopter rides are mostly smooth, with views over the entire Annapurna Range being a sight to behold from above.

Winter (December-February)

Cold and quiet engulf the entire region surrounding the Annapurna during the winter. Heavy snowfall can occur at higher altitudes, coupled with extreme drops in temperature below freezing. But for those who brave the cold, the compensation would be the cloudless blue skies, while the glistening white of the snow gives an astonishingly magical view. There is little traffic on the pathways, so the big views from the walk are open. Helicopters generally fly up there, but it shall be the subject of sudden change in weather.
