Luxury Everest Trek - Trip Information

Major Attraction of Luxury Everest Trek

It is not, perhaps, for all trekking fans who can look forward to traipsing along mountain paths that have been, for centuries, an important route for Himalayan Sherpas-herders-commercial traders-during the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek. It is a rare and unique experience offered only to a lucky few who are in the right time and the right place. Well, this trek goes up to Mount Everest but, beyond that, it will indulge you with soothing sceneries, rich Sherpa culture, and splendid lodgings, which will hopefully make the entire experience more of a personal feel and relaxation. The entire trekking scenario-via mountain villages, over glacier mountaintops, or at the foot of Mount Everest-is set in such a manner that one connects more with nature and culture. It is the perfect planning for travelers who want the Everest Base Camp experience but with a little more pampering on the side.

Adventurous Kathmandu Lukla Flight

The adventurous flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is a true precursor to the mountains. It is considered by many to be one of the scenic flights in the world sure to get the heart racing. The flight glides over lush valleys and green hills, approaching Tenzing-Hillary Airport, with one of the shortest runways threatened on the edge of a mountain. This flight provides a first glimpse of the towering Himalayas, distant peaks still above the clouds. The landing at Lukla injects a burst of energy into the very soul of the trek. The steep descent leaves passengers gasping with anticipation; the sudden stop on a narrow airstrip makes for great conversation starter in any trekker’s life.” More than just transportation, this is an exhilarating highlight that establishes the mood for the whole trek.”

Plushness aside, it contributes significantly to the luxury side of the trek since it saves time and hassle compared to an overland approach. The short 30-minute trip is therefore refreshing to any set of trekkers. Trekking upon arrival is welcomed warmly as luggage handling is done efficiently by porters and guides. The expedition begins directly after the ceremony of these moments is over. The flight stands for good photo opportunities, particularly in the early morning when mountains are most visible. It is often regarded as a favorite memory for many, providing views that go on to fulfill the expectation of an adrenaline-rushed start to the journey out in the Himalayas. This flying experience is an exciting addition to the trek and enhances the feeling of actually going for something incredibly special.

Namche Bazaar

Located within the heart of Khumbu culture and commerce, Namche Bazaar is perhaps the most notable stop on the luxury trek. Set deep within a bowl-shaped valley, it rises at 3440 meters above sea level. This Sherpa town is where hikers stop in order to acclimatize and discover more. The vibrancy of the small Himalayan city is captured in its lively streets featuring cafes, bakeries, gear shops, and markets. The luxurious stay here allows you to guiltlessly unwind as all comforts are enjoyed amid breathtaking mountain views. The trek itself to Namche is scenic; suspension bridges and first clear sightings of Mount Everest just before arrival.

Namche is not just an idle rest, besides being a true cultural experience in local museums and traditional Sherpa homes. For history lovers, Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery are such places where one could olden times of mountaineering in this region and lifestyle things. Do not forget to visit the weekly Saturday market, which is crowded by neighboring villagers. Kalapathar View Point

Kala Patthar commands an absolute view of the Everest region-the most definitive panorama of the highest peaks in the Himalayas-from its summit. At 5644 meters, it will give you an up-close view of Mount Everest, which actually is not entirely visible in base camp itself. The ascent of the Kala Patthar peak is short and steep and is usually undertaken during the early hours of dawn with the aim of catching the golden sunrise over Everest. For many, the moment of sunshine touching the peak of the highest mountain in the world is a moment they would call divine and emotional. The view, embracing all those prized mountains, the Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Pumori, under morning light, is worthy of 360-degree viewing.

People will say that their trek has been worth it, in fact, more so than setting foot on Everest Base Camp. It gives the trekkers a sense of accomplishment and the best opportunity for photography. Because many people do not go there, it is an unenclosed space with fewer people and allows for a peaceful and contemplative experience. The thin air, the hush, and the majesty of the peaks make it the moment of nature’s connection that remains within the heart long after trekking is finished. In the luxury trek, this viewpoint is made even better with a warm cup of tea from the support team after the climb.

Best Time to Visit Luxury Everest Trek

Autumn and Spring are considered as the best time for Luxury Everest Trek. In the spring i.e. between February and April has the best achieved climate. The temperature lies between the ranges of 20 degrees to 5 degrees at night. The skies are clear, no hue or cloud are seen, the paths are green and lushly, the adequate snow on mountains and the drizzling crystal clear water on stream alongside the pine and rhododendron forest.

Similarly, the best season for Luxury Everest trekking is between September and early November. This is also the best time as lots of travelers are seen in the trek and a rapid peak or influx in tourism is seen. No fluctuation in weather with the adequate temperature makes this season excellent.  The Nepalese major festivals; Dashain and Tihar also lie in this season. The skies are clear and the season is excellent for trekking.

Though not highly preferred, the rainy season from early June to late august can be the time for Everest Luxury trekking. This season has the most changeable climate i.e. from clear to rainy weather. However, the time isn’t the harshest as no snow falls in this season and one can enjoy the monsoon alongside the rocky mountain terrain.

The period between late November to early February is not preferred as it is the winter season and has the harshest cold. The most casualties heard occur during this season. The continuous down pouring of icefall and the temperatures to the minus degree Celsius in minutes makes this trek almost impossible. Thus, choosing the best time is must while pursuing this luxury trek in Nepal.

Tipping During the Trek

Tipping is your own choice of presenting the gratitude for your services and within your discretion. You may wish to tip for the services you like or just say “DHANYABAD” in Nepali terms to show your immense gratitude for the service.

Tipping is usually offered on the final day of the trip. Similarly, trekkers can tip to the hotel, lodge or people on any day they like. The amount of tipping is entirely upon personal choice and perception.

Altitude Sickness and Acclimatization

When the elevation is above 2000m from the sea level AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) symptoms can be seen due to less oxygen in the atmosphere, which will make breathing difficult. Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Nausea are the symptoms of AMS.

Remember you’ll be trekking above 3000m in Luxury Everest trek, so there is a less chance to get AMS. You should walk slowly and steadily to let your body get used to the thin air. If you try to walk fast and cover high altitude in less time, there are chances to get AMS. Precaution should be used to keep conditions from worsening. Drink Plenty of water which keeps the body hydrated and have balanced diet food that can energize your body.

 Drinking Water

Drinking Water is very essential for trekkers to keep the body hydrated and prevent AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). During Luxury Everest trekking one should consume 3-4 liters of water in a day.

We highly recommend you to carry one reusable water bottle with you which can hold hot water rather than buying bottled water. Bottled water can be expensive in trails and also it can add thrashing problems in Everest region. You can use water purification tablets to purify water.
